Ingredients of Habbe Jund:
Castoreum (Jund) 41.66 mg
Satureja hortensis (Satar Farsi) 41.66 mg : Summer savory is a plant. The leaves and stem are used to make medicine. People take summer savory for coughs, sore throat, and intestinal disorders including cramps, indigestion, gas, diarrhea, nausea, and loss of appetite. People with diabetes take it to relieve frequent thirst. It is also used as a tonic and as an aphrodisiac to increase sex drive. Some people apply summer savory directly to the skin for insect bites.
Carum carvi (Zeera Siah) 41.66 mg : Caraway is a plant. People use the oil, fruit, and seeds as medicine. Some people take caraway by mouth for digestive problems including heartburn, bloating, gas, loss of appetite, and mild spasms of the stomach and intestines. Caraway oil is also taken by mouth to help people cough up phlegm, improve control of urination, kill bacteria in the body, and relieve constipation. Some women take caraway oil by mouth to help start menstruation and relieve menstrual cramps. Some nursing mothers use it to increase the flow of breast milk. Caraway is used in mouthwashes and may be applied to the skin to improve local blood flow or help improve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Dosage of Habbe Jund: 1 pill to be dissolved in mother's milk and given every 3-4 hours or as directed by Unani physician.
