It is used in the ailments of general weakness of the stomach, flatulence of the stomach, indigestion, piles and nausea etc. Jawarish-e-Bisbasa is one of the polyherbal Unani compound formulations available in semisolid form in the market. The herbal formulation is being prescribed by Unani Physician for the treatment of weakness of the stomach, flatulence in the stomach, indigestion, blind piles and nausea.

Heel Kalan ( Ammomum subulatum Roxb. Fruit) : Greater cardamom is a perennial plant producing leafy stems up to 1.5 metres tall from a creeping rhizome.The fruits are harvested from the wild for use as a food and a medicine. The plant is sometimes cultivated, especially in India and Nepal.Ayurveda and Unani, it is used as preventive as well as curative for throat troubles, congestion of lungs, inflammationof eyelids, digestive disorders and even in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis (). The seeds are fragrant adjuncts for other stimulants, bitters and purgatives. The seeds have a sharp and good taste and are tonic to heart and liver. The pericarp is reported to be good for alleviating headache and heals stomatites (). Decoction of the seeds is used as a gargle in afflictions of teeth and gums. With melon seeds they are used as a diuretic in cases of gravel of the kidneys. They promote elimination of bile and are useful in congestion of liver. They are also used in the treatment of gonorrhea. In large doses with quinine, they are used in neuralgia. The seed oil is applied to the eyes to allay inflammation.

Stem bark : The dried stem bark is used as an analgesic, antibacterial, anticatarrhal, antiinflammatory, antipyretic, antiseptic, aperient, mildly astringent, carminative, demulscent, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, purgative, stimulant, stomachic and tonic. It is also capable of decreasing the secretion of milk (antigalactagogue). It is useful as a cardiac stimulant, refrigerant and diuretic and for stimulation of liver functions. As the name Bastard Cinnamon implies, it is usually regarded as a substitute for that of the Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Cinnamon), which it closely resembles.It increases general vitality, warms and energizes the body as a whole, counteracts congestion, stops diarral cramps. It is also used for functional impotence, arthritis, rheumatism and lumbago.
